On Wednesday, Nov. 20, public access to the first floor (including the Great Hall) and West Main doors of the Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress will be restricted from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to a special event.

The public may enter through the West Basement (Carriage) doors and may access public spaces on the ground and second floors of the building.

Researchers with Library-issued credentials will have normal access to most reading rooms. Signage will direct researchers to the Asian Reading Room. All reading rooms and exhibitions in the Madison and Adams buildings will operate under normal hours of service.

All building exits will be available for use in the event of an emergency.

Normal access to the first floor of the Jefferson building will resume at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
