February 27, 2024 Thomas Jefferson Building Access – March 4

On Monday, March 4, scheduled maintenance work on the building’s west front will reduce access to the Jefferson Building.  The West Basement (Carriage), West Main (first floor) doors as well as the west front parking lot will be closed to staff and researchers.  The building is closed to the general public on Mondays.  There is no impact to James Madison Memorial or John Adams buildings.

Researchers may access the Jefferson Building reading rooms as they will be open normal hours of service with regular access. Entry is via the Independence Avenue door to the Madison Building or the Adams Building, then via tunnel to the Jefferson Building. 

Normal access to the Jefferson building will resume at regular hours on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
