The Library of Congress will be open to visitors with timed-entry passes on the federal Columbus Day holiday, Monday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., including public spaces in the Thomas Jefferson Building and all exhibitions.
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Library's magnificent Main Reading Room — a rare opportunity to go inside one of Washington’s most beautiful spaces — from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
All other buildings of the Library will be closed in observance of the federal holiday, including all reading rooms. There will be no research availability or reader registration on the federal holiday.
