January 1, 1997 Gutenberg Bible to be Removed from Display

The Gutenberg Bible will be temporarily removed from display in the Great Hall of the Library of Congress Thomas Jefferson Building on Wednesday, January 8. It is planned to return to public view on Monday, January 13.

The Great Hall is open to visitors Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Jefferson Building is located at 10 First St., S.E. Guided tours are offered four times a day. Free, same day tickets are given out at the Information Desk in the Great Hall.
