March 24, 1998 Pat Oliphant to Appear at Exhibit Preview

Cartoonist Pat Oliphant will appear at a press preview of "Oliphant's Anthem: Pat Oliphant at the Library of Congress," an exhibition of his work, on Monday, March 30, at 11 a.m. in room LJ110, the Librarian's Reception Room, Thomas Jefferson Building, 10 First St. S.E.

The exhibition, which opens to the public April 2, commemorates the Library's recent acquisition of his work. On display will be 51 political drawings, in addition to the artist's working sketchbooks, paintings, monotypes, and sculpture. The exhibition, which closes July 6, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, in the South Gallery of the Great Hall in the Jefferson Building.
