Jefferson The Man: In His Own Words, edited by Robert C. Baron and published by Fulcrum Books in 1993 in association with the Library of Congress, is now available in paperback. This tribute to the nation's third president explores many different topics in Jefferson's own words, ranging from his ideas on exploration, science, freedom and democracy to his feelings about friends, family, books, education, and gardening. It includes an introductory essay on "Thomas Jefferson and the Library of Congress" by John Y. Cole, Director of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.
A 54-page book, Jefferson The Man: In His Own Words, is available for $7.95 in the Library of Congress Sales Shop and in bookstores throughout the country.
