Notes

  • -  The following information was supplied by the quiltmaker:
  • -  How long have you been making quilts? How did you learn to quilt? "I have been making quilts since 1976. I have taken classes from both regional and nationally known quilters."
  • -  Quilt size: 62" x 75"
  • -  Where did you learn the pattern? "This shows myself (seated on the right floor) and my quilting bee "The Gourmet Quilters" enjoying a day of quilting."
  • -  "This is a contemporary charm quilt (no fabric used twice) with 1428 different fabrics."
  • -  Quiltmaker's motivation: "I wanted to do multiple faces and bodies."
  • -  What was your primary reason for entering the Lands' End contest? Do you frequently enter your quilts in competition? "I enjoy entering competition. I feel it keeps me 'on my toes' to compete with other quilters. Also it presents a deadline which forces me to accomplish the quilt wihin that timeframe."
