Costello also co-hosts the popular podcast, The Pickle Shelf Radio Hour, serves on the Board of Directors for the Appalachian Food Summit, and is involved in food and small farm policy initiatives with the West Virginia Food and Farm Coalition. Dawson was also a participant in the 2018 West Virginia Folklife Apprenticeship Program.
