-  Walter Mosley, born and raised in Los Angeles, is the author of the critically acclaimed Easy Rawlins mystery series ("Devil in a Blue Dress," "A Red Death," "White Butterfly," "Black Betty" and "A Little Yellow Dog"). His most recent book, "Fearless Jones," debuts a new mystery series. Mosley's other books include the novels "Blue Light and RL's Dream," which won the 1996 Black Caucus of the American Library Association's Literary Award, and two collections of stories featuring "Socrates Fortlow," "Always Outnumbered," "Always Outgunned" and "Walkin' the Dog." With the City University of New York, Mosley has created a new publishing certificate program aimed at young urban residents. He lives in New York City.
