-  Lawyer Scott Turow is the author of seven best-selling novels, including "Presumed Innocent" (1987) and his most recent, "Ordinary Heroes" (2005; Warner Books, paperback, 2006), which is about an Army lawyer on the European battleground during World War II. He has also written two nonfiction books -- "One L" (1977) about his experience as a law student, and "Ultimate Punishment" (2003), a reflection on the death penalty, as well as essays and op-ed pieces for publications such as The New York Times, Vanity Fair and The Atlantic Monthly. Turow's books have won a number of literary awards, including the Heartland Prize and the Robert F. Kennedy Book Award. He is currently the chairman of Illinois' Executive Ethics Commission regulating executive branch employees. He lives outside of Chicago.
