- - Dr. Mehret Mandefro is a physician, medical anthropologist, and public health researcher on faculty at George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services. She received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from Harvard University, a Master of Science from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as a Fulbright Scholar, and was recently a White House Fellow where she co-authored the first joint Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense Mental Health Summit report and recommendations. Dr. Mandefro is the founder of a nonprofit, TruthAIDS which focuses on health literacy among vulnerable populations. Her ethnographic work is the subject of a documentary film, "ALL of Us", that premiered on Showtime Networks.
