- - The winner of the 2016 Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction, Marilynne Robinson is the acclaimed author of "Housekeeping" and Pulitzer Prize-winning "Gilead." Robinson has also received the 2012 National Humanities Medal and published numerous essays, book reviews and nonfiction books. She has been writer-in-residence or visiting professor at many universities, including the University of Kent, Amherst and the University of Massachusetts. Robinson currently teaches at the University of Iowa Writers Workshop. Her most recent book "Lila" revisits the town of Gilead.
