Notes
- - Alessandro Frassica was born in Milan and currently lives in Florence, Italy. In 2006, he started his panini restaurant Ino in Florence. Previously, Frassica worked in fashion and wrote for Restaurant Guides. In 2012 he published his first book "Il pan'ino," which was soon followed by "Il pan'ino veggie." Now available in English, Frassica's "Veggie Pan'ino" explores the art of preparing a sandwich with vegetarian recipes for a range of unusual sandwiches that are rich in flavor. Frassica's sandwiches are quick to prepare, perfect for travel and feature careful attention to ingredient choice.
- - Victor Hazan is an authority on Italian wine and food, and the late Marcella Hazan's husband and lifelong collaborator. Marcella's cookbooks introduced the world to traditional Italian cooking techniques, and Victor Hazan continues her work with his new book, "Ingredienti: Marcella's Guide to the Market". Hazan translated and transcribed Marcella's vignettes on fresh produce, pantry elements and shopping to produce this simple and elegant manual on how to buy the best ingredients and prepare delicious meals. He is also the author of "Italian Wine" and has published numerous magazine articles on travel, restaurants and wine. Hazan lives in Florida.
