- - Born and raised in Mexico, Pati Jinich is the chef and host of PBS's popular cooking show "Pati's Mexican Table." She is the resident chef of the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C., a member of the Smithsonian Institution's Kitchen Cabinet and has been guest chef for the President of the United States' Cinco de Mayo celebration. Jinich is also a regular guest on the television shows Today, The Chew, The Talk and The Splendid Table. In 2013, she published her first cookbook, "Pati's Mexican Table: The Secrets of Real Mexican Home Cooking." Her latest cookbook is "Mexican Today: New and Rediscovered Recipes for Contemporary Kitchens". Jinich lives with her family in Maryland.
