- - Margaret MacMillan is the visiting distinguished historian at the Council on Foreign Relations. She is an emeritus professor of international history at Oxford and a professor of history at the University of Toronto. She was provost of Trinity College at the University of Toronto from 2002 to 2007 and warden of St Antony's College, University of Oxford from 2007 to 2017. MacMillan is a member of the Kluge Center Scholars Council. Her latest book, "War: How Conflict Shaped Us" was released in 2020.
- - Francis J. Gavin is the Giovanni Agnelli Distinguished Professor and the inaugural director of the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs at Johns Hopkins SAIS. In 2013, Gavin was appointed the first Frank Stanton Chair in Nuclear Security Policy Studies and Professor of Political Science at MIT. His book "Nuclear Weapons and American Grand Strategy" was released in 2020.
- - Hal Brands is the Henry A. Kissinger Distinguished Professor of Global Affairs at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. He is also the Library of Congress Kissinger Chair in Foreign Policy at the Kluge Center. Brands is a columnist for Bloomberg Opinion. His most recent book, "American Grand Strategy in the Age of Trump," was released in 2018.
