  • The Librarians-in-Residence program at the Library of Congress gives early-career librarians the opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in at least one track in the following areas: acquisitions and collection development, cataloging and metadata, systems and standards, reference and instruction, and collection preservation. As part of the program, residents participate in enrichment activities and receive mentoring from seasoned Library professionals. One goal of the program is to help residents showcase their expertise in library-related topics. This Power Lunch series provides a platform for residents to share their knowledge as well as get feedback from professional librarians.
