The Law Library of Congress holds over 2.9 million primary and secondary legal materials covering about 240 jurisdictions around the world.  The Law Library strives to make this large collection available to researchers.  In addition to providing research and reference assistance to patrons, the Law Library publishes reports prepared by staff on foreign and comparative law issues, which are often written using sources from its collection.  The Law Library also shares content via the In Custodia Legis blog and the Global Legal Monitor international legal news website.  If you have any questions about items in the Law Library’s collection, please contact us through our Ask a Librarian service.
