A new public exhibition, “Hope for America: Performers, Politics & Pop Culture,” opened at the Library of Congress on June 11 and remains on view 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Made possible through the generous contributions of Bob and Dolores Hope and their family, the exhibition is located in the Bob Hope Gallery of American Entertainment on the ground floor of the Thomas Jefferson Building, 10 First St., S.E. in Washington, D.C. The exhibition invites visitors to examine artifacts that represent an array of viewpoints and draw their own conclusions regarding the interplay of politics and entertainment in American public life and its consequences for the nation’s political culture.
