    Chart of the battle off Cherbourg. The map charts the course of the two ships in Cherbourg Harbor and in the British Channel off the coast of Cherbourg, France. Made by the British for the Confederacy and captained by Raphael Semmes the C.S.S. Alabama was a blockade runner. Spotted by the U.S.S. Kearsarge, the Alabama was cornered and sunk.
