Persia sive Sophorum Regnum This decorative and detailed map of Persia is by Willem Janszoon Blaeu (1571-1638), a Dutch cartographer, globe maker, and publisher. Blaeu trained with the Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe and began producing maps and charts in the early years of the 17th century.
