
NLS patrons who have registered for BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download service) may download digital talking books. These books can be transferred to any USB cartridge and played in the NLS Digital Talking-Book Machine (DTBM) using the side port, or, if patrons wish, they can purchase NLS-style cartridges and extension cables from commercial sources. The commercial sources listed on this page are not part of the NLS program. Their listing does not imply endorsement by NLS.
