Saxophonist, arranger, and bandleader Med Flory is best known for his arrangements of transcribed Charlie Parker solos. In 1972, he and bassist Buddy Clark formed Supersax, a group consisting of five saxophonists and a rhythm section devoted to the music of Charlie Parker. The Med Flory/Supersax Collection was given to the Library of Congress by Mr. Flory. It comprises twenty-six manuscript scores arranged by Flory for Supersax.
