The descriptions of &quot;filing series&quot; represent \na comprehensive outline of all collections, based on their storage category, for \nexample, cartoon drawings, panoramic photographs, and theater posters. The \ndescriptions of major archives and subject-based collections indicate special \nstrengths. In many cases, more specific additional descriptions provide access \nto individual items or groups of materials within these broad groupings.\n</p>\n<p>\nThe guide records are compact summaries of creator, date, subject, and historical\ninformation for the collections in Prints &amp; Photographs. Browsing the list of guide records <link?> \nis a quick way to gauge the general scope and contents for all collections and to \ndiscover materials you might not think to search for. Like a travel guide to a \nforeign country, the guide records provide orientation to useful resources and \nhighlight special attractions.\n</p>\n",
