Program Audio Visual Conservation

Packard Campus Theater

The Packard Campus Theater programs events year round, usually on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The schedule for each month is posted approximately two weeks in advance. Short subjects are presented before select programs. Titles are subject to change without notice.

NOTICE: The Library of Congress beginning today will be cancelling all film screenings until at least May 14. Both the Packard Campus Theater in Culpeper and the Pickford Theater on Capitol Hill will be subject to this temporary closure. The Library of Congress is taking this action to reduce the risk of transmitting COVID-19 coronavirus. During the closure, all Library-sponsored public programs in both Washington D.C. and Culpeper are postponed or cancelled through the end of March. Whenever possible, the Library will reschedule the public programs originally scheduled during the closure period. For updates as to when film screenings at both locations will resume, check the Now See Hear blog of the National Audio-Visual Conservation Center at blogs.loc.gov/now-see-hear/ , the NAVCC screenings web page at https://www.loc.gov/programs/audio-visual-conservation/events-and-screenings/screenings/, or call (202) 707-9994. Thank you.

No reservations or tickets are needed for the free film screenings, seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The entry gate to the building will open approximately an hour before show time.

In case of inclement weather, for screenings at the Packard Campus Theater, check the information line at (540) 827-1079 ext. 79994 or (202) 707-9994 no sooner than three hours before show time to see if the movie has been cancelled.
