Sample Interview Questions
The Veterans History Project invites anyone age 15 or older to conduct an oral history interview with a veteran in their life or community following the guidelines found in the How to Participate section of this website. Once you are ready to record the interview, use one of our lists of sample interview questions as an outline for your conversation. These are not scripts, rather guides to help you think of the kinds of questions you may want to consider asking. Have a pre-interview conversation with your veteran, and create a list tailored to his or her unique experiences.
