The Marvin McFarland Fund was created in 1990 as a memorial to the former chief of the Library of Congress Science Division (1966-1980). Today, the fund enables the Science Section to promote scholarship, sponsor educational lectures, and further use of the Library’s collections by providing greater access through publications and media.
