Literature on agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural trade, and economic aspects of all agricultural industries can be extracted by searching with the name of a Latin American country or subregion, i.e. wheat AND Argentina. Agricultural statistics are also available.

According to this study published in May 2015 the region has the fastest growing mobile financial services sector in the world. New bank customers are increasing in number partially due to a large percentage of those previously without bank accounts using mobile technology for this purpose.

The free search allows you to search names of companies who import/export goods to and from Latin America and the rest of the world within sample records of this database. The database holds examples of manifests which reflect the cargo, dates of arrival, etc. This free search can be useful if you are seeking information about a particular importer or exporter and need "any" information about them. Search this database using the company names in Spanish or Portuguese for best results.
Import Genius, as a subscription database of current ship manifests, is not available at The Library of Congress.

This subscription business-to-business directory allows one to find trade partners, importers, exporters, distributors and sales leads. Contains in-depth information on almost 3 million companies in more than 60 countries worldwide. Kompass tracks state-owned enterprises, foreign trade companies, joint ventures and foreign representative offices. Company profiles include contact details, trade names, brands, product and service information, and names of executives. Search for companies by industry using the “Activities” limiter which will filter the search by various industrial classification codes (as of 2015 it did not offer NAICS 2012). This tool provides a geographic limit by Latin American countries individually, there are no regional or continental search limiters.
