The global data and statistical resources listed consist of data from government agencies, academic and independent research institutions, and international organizations. China and U.S. statistical sources are also included.

The Joint External Debt Hub web site brings together external debt data and selected foreign assets from international creditor/market and national debtor sources from the Bank for International Settlements, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the World Bank (WB).

It reports, for most countries of the world, current data needed in the analysis of problems of international payments and of inflation and deflation, i.e., data on exchange rates, international liquidity, money and banking, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, and national accounts. Information is presented in country tables and in tables of area and world aggregates. The IMF also publishes an annual version, International Financial Statistics Yearbook.

China International Economic and Arbitration Commission External Link

As the most important permanent arbitration institution in China CIETAC serves as an independent body that resolves economic and trade disputes by means of arbitration and conciliation (mediation). The web site contains news and conventions on Trade and Development organizations.

China National Bureau of Statistics External Link

The official government agency of China responsible for compiling and recording national statistics. The site is in Chinese with a link to the English version.

Federal Reserve Bank of Saint Louis External Link

The web site provides a quality economic research and contributes to economic policy discussions while expanding the frontier of economic knowledge around the globe in the areas of money and banking, macroeconomics, and international and regional economics.

Federal Reserve Bank of New York External Link

The site offers a variety of publications and working papers on economic policy and current issues in economics and finance produced by the economists of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

The official site of the Federal Reserve Board provides publications and educational resources as well as statistical releases and historical data..

International Monetary Fund Data and Statistics External Link

"The IMF publishes a range of time series data on IMF lending, exchange rates and other economic and financial indicators. Manuals, guides, and other material on statistical practices at the IMF, in member countries, and of the statistical community at large are also available."

Offers access to online trade datasets. Users may retrieve, visualize, analyze, print and download customized output for U.S. national merchandise exports, imports, trade balances and U.S. state and regional exports of merchandise.

OECD Statistics Portal External Link

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Statistics Portal provides wide range of key statistics for its member countries and major additional countries through its products such as OECD.Stat Extracts, OECD Factbook, Country Statistical Profiles, etc. Much of the data can be freely accessed on this web site and a lot more is available on subscription basis onsite at the Library of Congress.

U.S. Bureau of Census. Foreign Trade Data

This web site provides statistical data on U.S. international trade, state trade, U.S. trade in goods by country, country and product trade data and offers links to other foreign trade products.

USA Trade Online

Provides access to current and cumulative U.S. export and import data for over 18,000 export commodities and 24,000 import commodities; monthly and annual trade statistics at the district and port level, as well as state exports

World Trade Organization (WTO): International Trade and Tariff Data External Link

This web page provides access to a statistics database with interactive access to the most up-to-date WTO trade statistics; the annual International Trade Statistics publication; comprehensive tariff data as well as country trade profiles, regular statistical reports and working papers. Links to national statistical offices, other national sources, international organizations and other statistics and economic information can also be found here.
