Provides comprehensive annual data forecasts and quarterly forecasts for economies covering 75% of global output. Major data categories include economic structure, foreign payments, external debt stock, external debt service, external trade, trends in foreign trade.

Also includes the EIU Country Profiles which ceased publication in 2008.

Retrospective material dates from the early twentieth century through the mid-1970s. Worldwide in geographic scope, PAIS includes coverage of publications in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish with English language abstracts and subject headings that deal with public affairs. Links to web resources and publisher websites. Newspapers and newsletters are not indexed.

Indicates, through risk ratings, the placement of countries from least risky (A+) to most risky (D-) for financial transfer, direct investment, and export markets. Includes Country Databanks, Country Forecasts, and Country Reports which forecast the risk of doing business in each of the 100 countries monitored by Political Risk Services. PRS fully revises each of the 100 reports annually, and issues updates throughout the year as political events dictate in each country. Each report includes comments and analysis on recent events, profiles of key political players, and detailed forecast scenarios, as well as basic historical background and data on the government, political entities, the environment, and the economy.
