OVERVIEW

This guide presents a compilation of information resources on securitites and investment both in print and online, intended for the general public. The first section lists general resources including handbooks, guides, dictionaries and periodicals. Different types of securities such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. are treated in separate sections that list books and periodicals useful for understanding and researching each type. The Internet Resources section is intended to provide practical sources for investors and consists of freely available online resources on various types of investment instruments. The section on databases lists subscription resources that are limited to the Library of Congress patrons who are onsite and other subscribers. Those who wish to do further research on the subject will find guidance in the LC Subject Headings section.
