- - Summary: Michael Malapit speaks about his entry into becoming a House DJ through VFW, Ladies' Auxilary, and SIPA Youth-for the preservation of Filipino cultural traditions and dances. He spun at SIPA events and snuck into clubs early, expanding his musical knowledge to include beat mixing European disco, Hi-NRG, hip hop, and go-go. At 12 Inch Records he began collecting and incorporating records from Chicago House DJs as he became a Resident DJ for over 9 years at Tracks. He also played at DC clubs like The Clubhouse, Bachelor's Mill, The Delta Elite, Nob Hill, Brass Rail, Back Door Pub.
