According to the Subject Headings Manual H 1188, the subdivision $x Relation to Matthew, [Jeremiah, etc.] may be used on a
free-floating basis under individual parts or books of the Bible; $x Relation to the Old Testament may be used under the New Testament
or individual parts or books of the New Testament.
The intent of the phrase “individual parts or books of” is that the subdivisions be used under the uniform titles for individual books or
groups of books in the Old or New Testaments, and not that the subdivisions may be used under uniform titles for individual chapters or
verses. Neither may the subdivisions be expanded to include chapters or verses.
Examples:
Bible. O.T. Deuteronomy--Relation to Hebrews.
Bible. N.T. Corinthians--Relation to the Old Testament.
Bible. N.T. Mark--Relation to Luke.
but not

Additional headings may be assigned as necessary to bring out the specific chapters or verses discussed.
The wording in the SHM and in the subdivision authority records will be clarified.
