Nearly every week new newspaper pages from NDNP award recipients are added to Chronicling America. Because of the ongoing expansion of the collection, users have often asked questions about the coverage of newspapers available in the database at a given time. On this page we have included links and descriptions to several different types of data visualizations created by Library of Congress staff. The visualizations were created using metadata harvested via the Chronicling America API and Tableau Public software (external link). We hope these graphs, charts, and maps will help users better understand the scope and coverage of Chronicling America. Visualizatons will be updated periodically throughout the year. Follow the links below to visit the interactive visualizations.
